MajorMatcher is a service built to help high school students more accurately chose their major in order to save them money, time, and help them build a better more enjoyable future. The service would be based off of survey results that high schoolers would be asked to complete when they begin. In contrast to competing services, MajorMatcher would ask questions regarding student's social side and future goals in addition to the standard academic interests. While knowing what you are good at and interested in is a large piece of the puzzle, a good number of students end up switching majors because the time commitment required does not match what they want out of their college experience. In addition, numerous students realize that the major they chose "is not what they initially expected it to be" and will not help them get to where they want to be. By analyzing what students want out of college and life after school we can more accurately suggest majors that they should look into. While it is not a fool proof system, MajorMatcher engages with the full person and not just the student to help them craft a better and more efficient future for themselves!
